2027 Call for Projects: Building a More Just and Inclusive World Together

October 2026

selavip seleccionados 2027

Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in SELAVIP’s 2027 Call for Projects. We deeply appreciate your commitment, your efforts, and your shared determination to improve the living conditions of families experiencing poverty and vulnerability.

This year, SELAVIP received 361 project proposals from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the CaribbeanOf these, 304 were declared eligible and ranked for evaluation. Based on this ranking and the funding approved for 2027, 71 projects have been selectedwith the potential to improve the quality of life of more than 34,000 families.

This achievement reflects the collective commitment of the many organisations working tirelessly to create safer, healthier, and more dignified living conditions for families in need.

We encourage the NGOs whose projects have been selected to work hand in hand with the families who will benefit from them. Whenever possible, we also invite them to build partnerships with public institutions and private-sector organisations. Experience has shown that when communities, civil society, and other stakeholders join forces around a common purpose, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible. Together, we can help families overcome the harsh conditions of poverty and build a better future.

Transparency and accountability

In keeping with our commitment to transparency, we also wish to explain why some project proposals could not be considered for selection.

A total of 57 projects were declared inadmissible for various reasons, including incomplete information that prevented proper evaluation, incorrect cost calculations, failure to follow the terms and conditions of the call, and proposals that did not meet SELAVIP’s objectives. Other reasons included the use of asbestos in construction, which is prohibited, and delays in implementing projects funded in previous years, some of which remain unfinished.

We share this information to underline the importance of carefully preparing proposals, complying with the established requirements, and ensuring the timely implementation of approved projects. These standards are essential to safeguarding resources and ensuring that support reaches the families who need it most.

A shared commitment to reaching those most in need

We would have loved to support many more projects. Unfortunately, our financial resources remain limited, and difficult choices must be made each year. Nevertheless, our Foundation continues to increase its funding capacity, with the aim of supporting more initiatives and reaching more families living in vulnerable conditions.

Over the years, we have built relationships of friendship, trust, and mutual commitment with many of the NGOs we work with. Each year, we are also pleased to welcome new organisations that share our vision and determination to reach the communities facing the greatest challenges.

These relationships are at the heart of SELAVIP’s work. Together, we strive to ensure that every effort is guided by solidarity, responsibility, and transparency, always keeping in mind our common mission: to improve the living conditions of the poorest and most vulnerable families, and to help build a world with greater equality and social justice.

To all the organisations, communities, and individuals who dedicate their time and energy to this mission, we offer our sincere gratitude and fraternal greetings.

Thank you for standing with us and for continuing to work towards a more equal, dignified, and just world.
