Healthy Latrines for ex-Refugee Families

The project was carried out in three stages. The first one involved the building of 27 unit latrines, the second phase 33 units and the remaining 38 units are in process of completion (phase 3). The materials’ procurement process has been carried out jointly by the field technical team and representatives of the beneficiary families. It involved : planning of materials according to the type and quantity, suppliers selection, mechanism of transportation and materials storage on site. Latrines unit construction work was carried out as soon as the material was available. Each main workforce (builder) worked on building latrines units assisted by the families who are members of the family work group. According to the initial agreement, each family work group must help the builder to get the job done faster on schedule.
