‘’National Dwelling Ger’’ Project

The NGO undertook the following activities:

Activity 1: The NGO organized a meeting and gave detailed information about the project and its implementation to partner organizations on February 1, 2021.

Activity 2: They gave detailed information about the project and its implementation to community people of Khovd Province through local ‘’JARGALANT’’ and KHOVD TV stations and social media.

Activity 3: On 1st of February 2021, Sain Tus Center organized a meeting with 25 families’ members and informed them about the project and its implementation, explaining the general structure of the project and what the role and responsibilities should be for the families’ member and Sain Tus Center. After this discussion they drafted Cooperation Contracts between Sain Tus Center and the 25 families’ members.

Activity 4: They colleted some quantitative/qualitative data about 25 families’ livelihood issues.

Activity 5: They organized vocational trainings from 1st of March, 2021, till 1 st of April, 2021.

Activity 6: They purchased wooden frames and articles of 25 Gers (5 khana, 1 door, 1 toono, 2 bagana, 80 uni for 1 family) and delivered to 25 families. They purchased 225 Felts for Felt roofs, Felt wall, Felt covers, 500 litre Paint, 250 Threads, 250 Woolen belt, straps, 3750 m white cloth for Inside white covers, Outside white covers, 1250 m materials for Inside curtains and distributed to 25 families. 25 families’ members sewed Felt roofs, Felt wall, Felt covers, Inside white covers, Outside white covers, Inside curtains ‘and painted wooden frames of 25 Gers. Ger construction activity finished in July, 2021.

Activity 7: They made ‘’Ger Usage Agreement’’ with 25 families’ members and hand over the 25 Gers to them on 20 th July, 2021. According to the ‘’Ger Usage Agreement’’, the Ger will not be sold or used to others, and 25 families’ members will be responsible for the maintenance of the Ger in the future.

Activity 8: They organized life-related day workshops by a social worker.
