The project built 30 houses for a community of 30 widows and 109 beneficiaries, from the Chenchu tribe, India.
Both the heads of households, as well as some members of the beneficiary families, were involved and participated in all stages of the project, ensuring the quality of the construction and compliance with the planning to finish within the proposed deadlines. To do this, they formed committees in the different processes (acquisition, quality control).
The houses of 15 m2 (3,5 x 4,3) were built on their own land. The material used for the construction was cement bricks, metallic structure, coating and wooden doors.
To ensure regular income to tribal members (poor women), skills development training in adaptation was provided to 21 beneficiary projects in a staggered manner and establishing marketing links.
