Módulo Sanitario

The Sanitary Module project aimed to improve the hygiene’s situation in informal settlements in the Buenos Aires’ province. According to the national census of 2010, in the country there are more than 6 million people who do not have a bathroom. This project has been seeking to solve this problematic through the installation of Sani- tary Modules with the support of volunteers abd the donation of materials from the private sector. The families did have to satisfy three requests in order to receive the module : digging a hole (for the toilet and drains), unloading the materials and help to build the module. Attached to emergency’s houses, these modules allow families to access a bathroom inside their homes with hot and cold water, electricity and the corresponding drains.
