Goals of sustainable development in the framework of this project

See all UN goals

In the framework of the project, Fuller developped about 3 plots of land at Luvu-Madaki, Nasarawa State (close to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital) by building dwellings for 24 low income families that cannot afford to access mortgage loan to buy a house (the families, earning a maximum income of $100 per month).

The house design comprises of a semidetached block of 4 studio apartments. In total, there are 6 blocks. Each homeowner was entitled to one studio apartment.

The average dimensions of each studio apartment are as follows: Front Yard= 3.45 X 3.45M, Bedroom = 4.65 x 3.45m, Kitchen =2.25 x 1.95, Shower and WC = 1.35 X 2.25. External Dimensions of each studio unit is 10.95 x 3.75m; 4 Units of studio constitute 1 Block, in essence 24 Units gives us 6 Blocks.

The project also received some support, in materials, from the ETEX Company.

Homeowners were formed into Resident Association (RA) to ensure that environment is kept clean at all times.
